BLACKCAPS v India T20 Series Live on Sky Sport 2

The BLACKCAPS are returning to action after a three-week break in January. They prepare to face a familiar opponent, India, and you can watch all the action live on Sky Sport.

Millions of eyes from across the globe will be on the country this Summer when the rock stars of world cricket return to New Zealand for a full tour against the BLACKCAPS.

It does not get bigger than an Indian cricket tour of New Zealand, and this Summer has even more subcontinental spice with India and their captain, Virat Kohli, out to make amends for their loss to the BLACKCAPS in their ICC Cricket World Cup semi-final last year.

How have past matchups gone?

The BLACKCAPS won the corresponding series 2-1 in New Zealand early last year, with Tim Seifert starring, after India dominated the one-day series 4-1. India, though, are sure to still be hurting from their most recent meeting with the BLACKCAPS, when New Zealand stunned the tournament favourites in their Cricket World Cup semi-final in Manchester.

Ross Taylor was among the BLACKCAPS’ most valuable players on that occasion, scoring a team-leading 74 in a dramatic match which spanned over two days. The main man to watch this time round for the Kiwis will be Martin Guptil, who the BLACKCAPS will be hoping puts in a strong performance.

With the men’s T20 World Cup approaching fast, both teams will be looking to build momentum. The BLACKCAPS will be looking to improve their recent form having been on the backend of six losses in their last eight matches at Eden Park.

When does the BLACKCAPS v India T20 Series begin?

Fans are going to be spoiled with two exciting T20 internationals on the 24th and 26th January at Eden Park in Auckland. The cricket series then heads to Seddon Park in Hamilton, before rounding out the month at the newly named Sky Stadium in Wellington. The final T20 will be held at Bay Oval in Mt Maunganui on the 2nd February. You can catch all the action live on Sky Sport.
