Broadcast and Production Roles for Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games

Sky is excited to be the official Broadcaster in NZ for the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games, coming up in July this year.

We are seeking applications from energetic individuals who want to be part of the team that will deliver comprehensive coverage of the Olympic Games to our fans across all our platforms.

This is a contractor position, where you will need to complete an invoice on a fortnightly basis. The role is based at our Mt Wellington Studio in Auckland. Please note that this role does not involve travel to Tokyo.

This is a great opportunity, and we want to hear from you if you:

  • Love sports

  • Have completed a tertiary qualification or experience in Television/Radio Broadcast or Production

  • Enjoy working as part of a team

  • Can multi task and keep calm under pressure

  • Technically savvy

  • Can work rostered shift work including weekends and overnights

  • Have your own transport and can travel to and from our Mt Wellington Studio

  • Are available from the role commencement date until 8th August 2021

Roles

Clipper Editor

  • Prepare content for playout on multiple Sky platforms

  • Work closely with Producers, PA's and On Air to prepare programmes and fillers for transmission

  • Work to tight deadlines to deliver programmes to the On-Air department before the scheduled time

  • Previous editing experience is required

Role commences: 21st June 2021

On Air Graphics Operator

  • This is an operational role that requires sound editorial skills

  • You will work closely with our Content Leads and On Air teams to create and place onscreen informational graphics utilising broadcast graphics system

  • Your graphics placement will be seamless and will enhance the viewing experience and influence viewing behaviour

  • Experience in Live studio environment is an advantage

Role commences: 28th June 2021

Production Runner

  • Work closely with Operations Manager to support day-to-day activities prior to and during the event

  • Provide ongoing assistance to the whole operational team with daily administrative duties

  • Work closely with Operations Manager to organise catering

  • Manage refreshment station and deliveries in live crew

  • Great opportunity for someone who is looking for experience working production or broadcast

Role commences: 12th July 2021

To be considered for a role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Have completed a tertiary qualification or experience in Television/Radio Broadcast or Production

  • Be available for an immediate interview

  • Currently reside in New Zealand and hold immigration papers to work in New Zealand
