GREATS OF SUPER RUGBY - CHRISTIAN CULLEN

Christian Cullen, also known as “The Paekakariki Express”, one of the first true legends of Super Rugby and the focus of a new hour long SKY Sport documentary will be broadcast on Prime - Tuesday July 9 from 11.05pm.

A must watch for all New Zealand rugby fans, GREATS OF SUPER RUGBY - CHRISTIAN CULLEN focusses on Christian Cullen’s stellar career as a Super Rugby player and the legacy that he left behind.

Having made his Super 12 debut in 1996 as a 20-year-old, Cullen would go on to score 308 points over 85 appearances for the Hurricanes between 1996-2003.

With a freakish gift for try-scoring, Cullen was one of the most potent running fullbacks world rugby has seen.

“He was the perfect man to help launch rugby into the professional era!” says documentary producer, Bevan Sanson.

“He helped bring the game into the modern era.

"Some of the games he played for the Hurricanes were sensational.

"Back then the Hurricanes were not overly successful, but it didn’t seem to bother fans.

"They way Christian and his teammates played turned rugby into genuine entertainment.”
