Commercial Technician

About the role…

 As the commercial technician you will be responsible for supporting SKY Business and Movielink to ensure the efficient technical running of both SKY’s and Movielink. You’ll manage the Installation and Implementation of Movielink and SKY Digital systems in major Hotels to ensure that there is consistent quality of pictures at the input to the distribution system. This may require travel within New Zealand with the possibility of being away for 5 to 10 days at any time.

 

What Skills and Experience you’ll need…

  • Suitable qualification in Radio, TV or telecommunications to technician level. (Bench Tech)

  • Understanding/implementation of MATV networks

  • Understanding/implementation of computer systems with Windows & Linux Server experience

  • Understanding/implementation of computer networks both wired and wireless to CCNA level

  • Basic electrical knowledge

  • Good understanding of domestic and commercial grade routers, their installation and best use practices
