Customer Comms & Marketing Specialist – Sport Streaming

About the role…


As the Customer Comms & Marketing Specialist for Sport Streaming you’ll be responsible for the content, creative design and execution of our direct to customer and service communications (primarily Email, Push Notification and more) supported by the wider Sport Streaming Marketing Team. You will also be involved in the creation and execution of both tactical and strategic Marketing campaigns that drive towards acquisition, retention and engagement targets.


As part of the Sky Sport Now team, you’ll bring your communication and marketing expertise to deliver results across our key KPIs. This will be achieved through delivering compelling communications and Marketing activities that drive the Sky Sport Now business forward while capturing the excitement of Sport and the USPs of Sky Sport Now product.


You are both a leader and team player that is flexible and can get their hands dirty helping others in the team to get the job done. You’re innovative, a quick thinker and someone who is comfortable working in a fast paced environment and is passionate about our customers. The key areas of focus will include:

  • Delivering memorable, relevant and highly engaging & entertaining direct to customer communications

  • Support the development and execution of direct customer engagements across the full customer lifecycle (on-boarding, in-life and retention); this will include supporting the development of both Sky Sport Now marketing, brand and service communications

  • Contribute to the development and execution of ATL campaigns and activities showing how business targets will be achieved.

  • Optimise marketing investment with particular expertise in digital marketing – leverage data and analytics to understand content performance and how best to leverage our sport content in market.

  • Contribute to ensuring marketing opportunities are maximised in relation to the product roadmap for new and existing features.

  • Create campaign and communication forecasts, analyse activity performance, identify trends and provide fast accurate reports, optimising campaigns and communications to produce the best return on investment for the organisation.



What Skills and Experience you’ll need…

  • Minimum of 4 years’ Marketing experience

  • Customer centric – ensure that the customer is placed at the heart of every decision and are a disciple of leveraging insights to growth

  • Proven ability to blend creative flair and judgement and the art of storytelling   

  • Proven written and verbal communication skills 

  • Proven creative judgement and passion for the art of storytelling  

  • Exposure to building a full customer lifecycle communications programme

  • Analytical acumen – cross reference data, insights, and benchmarks to build performance
