World-class chefs from across the United Kingdom are once again sharpening their knives and perfecting their menus as they prepare for battle in a new season of Great British Menu.

Over the last decade Great British Menu has provided a benchmark for the most amazing food Britain has to offer. Hundreds of the UK’s finest chefs have been inspired, in the spirit of competition, to push the gastronomic boundaries for the opportunity to represent their region and win a place on a menu served for special guests at a prestigious banquet.

This season, the chefs are in for a challenge as to mark 140 years of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships and celebrate a ‘taste of summer’, they’ll have to create dishes which embody its very spirit. Paying tribute to an event synonymous with the sunny season in the UK, the chefs explore the traditions of the competition and honour the players who make it such an iconic sporting event.

Judges Andi Oliver, Oliver Peyton and Matthew Fort are joined by guests including Tim Henman, Greg Rusedksi and Andy Murray’s mum Judy, who help ensure the banquet is a fitting celebration for the world’s most revered grand slam.
