Season 11

Friday and Saturday nights from 6 July at 8:30pm Channel 018

Larger than life host Guy Fieri is heading on a cross-country road trip to visit some of America’s classic greasy spoon restaurants that have been doing it right for decades in Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Roadside diners, vintage drive-ins and out-of-the-way "dives" have been enjoying a resurgence among foodies, and Guy is in search of the best greasy spoon eateries America has to offer. It might be shack on the side of the highway in Tarpley Texas or a sports bar in Vegas famous for Stromboli – but they all have one common thread: they serve up delicious grub.

This season, Guy’s road trip sees him travel to Washington, DC, where a Mexican-Salvadoran joint’s big seller is a Salvadoran papusa made from scratch and stuffed with shredded pork and cheese; New Orleans, where he stops by a Po' Boy Shop with New Orleans legend Emeril Lagasse to sample the Big Easy's favourite sandwich; Stone Harbor, New Jersey, where Guy visits a fish shack flying in Paco Paco fish from the Amazon for a Brazilian specialty; and to Mandeville, Los Angeles, where a family-style diner is putting a Cajun spin on Oysters Rockefeller, plus more.

This programme will also be available with SKY On Demand.
