Architect George Clarke returns for a new season of Restoration Man, which sees him travel the length and breadth of the UK to help people from all walks of life transform some of Britain’s neglected historic buildings into stunning and unique homes. The series also follows George as he tours the British Isles discovering some of the finest examples of windmills, follies, gate houses, ice houses, towers.
This season, George takes us to his roots near Northumberland, where a DIY fanatic takes on a nineteenth century railway station single handed. In West Wales a couple retiring struggle with the restrictions of restoring an eighteenth century folly sitting on a medieval castle wall and is a listed historic monument. In Essex, a business woman takes on an ambitious 4000 square foot Grade II Star listed fifteenth century barn, to create a dream home for herself and her two sons. Finally, a young couple with no restoration experience and a baby on the way, carve out their first family home inside a decommissioned 1930’s pumping station.
