With 30 years in the trade, decorative antiques dealer Drew Pritchard has perfected the art of finding gems in the most unlikely places, restoring them beautifully and giving the pieces a new lease of life. In the new season of Salvage Hunters, he’s once again travelling the length and breadth of the UK in search of hidden treasures in stunning stately homes, Britain’s best dealers and all kinds of quirky locations. Teaming up once more with his trusty sidekick and old school mate Tee, the boys are back on the road to rummage through salvage yards, industrial buildings, old mills, tramways and country houses, all run or owned by colourful and engaging characters.
This season, Drew and Tee navigate the English Channel and venture to central France. The idyllic Loire region is home to some of the country’s finest markets and best dealers, all at the best prices. Or so Drew hopes! It’s a crucial trip for the company; Drew thinks that French antiques could be making a comeback, and he wants to be ahead of the curve. Meeting charismatic dealers and trawling through the vast attics of a large chateau could provide Drew with high quality French pieces he just can’t find back home. And of course, there’s the cheese and wine!
