Season 2

Sundays at 8:30pm Channel 017

Award-winning architect Piers Taylor and actress and property enthusiast Caroline Quentin are back exploring more of the most incredible architect-designed houses around the world, in a new season of The World’s Most Extraordinary Homes. Whether the house has been built into the side of a cliff, is tucked away in a forest, or perched at the top of a mountain, these homes connect to their environments in a spectacular way.

In each episode, viewers will be treated to the architectural delights of homes across the coast, forest, mountain and underground, as Piers and Caroline explore how their dramatic designs function both as works of architecture and as real houses.

As the new season kicks off, Piers and Caroline travel to Portugal to find another four extraordinary homes. It’s a country with a reputation for great design and craftsmanship but also modesty. They’ll stay overnight in each one of these spectacular houses, to experience what life would be like to live in these often remote properties. Other locations featured this season include Switzerland, Japan, United States, Spain, India, Norway and Israel.
