It’s a test like no other and we just can’t wait to share it with Aotearoa. Sky confirms the ICC World Test Championship will air live on Sky Sport.

  • BLACKCAPS aiming for glory v India from the Rose Bowl, Southampton, June 18 - 22
  • Sky to broadcast the ICC World Test Championship live to Sky Sport customers and streaming on Sky Sport Now and Sky Go

There were smiles all round in the Sky offices when the news came in that we’d been successful in securing the ICC World Test Championship.  To be able to share this landmark test with New Zealand is a huge honour for the Sky team, and we’re pulling out all the stops to make the most of this opportunity.

Our thanks go to the ICC for continuing our long-standing relationship, to our sport content and partnerships team and to our customers – who we know will be delighted they can watch their BLACKCAPS heroes go all out for victory.

Each night of the Test coverage will commence at 9pm with a New Zealand-based crew building up to the first ball from 10pm.  The legendary Ian Smith will be joined by Mike Hesson, former BLACKCAPS coach and Laura McGoldrick. There will be plenty of other guests and contributors taking part in this momentous celebration of Kiwi cricket excellence.

Fans will be given the opportunity to pose questions for the team to answer during build ups and breaks. Also available will be daily highlights and full replays on Sky Sport 2, long known as Sky’s dedicated cricket channel.

This wonderful tournament adds to an already impressive slate of sport on Sky.  We’re underway with the Sky Super Rugby Trans-Tasman competition, the NRL and ANZ Premiership and Sail GP.  The Sky Sport Breakers, the Wellington Phoenix, Lydia Ko, and Kiwi Supercars and IndyCar heroes continue to inspire and impress us all.

The Olympic Games will follow hot on the heels of the Test from July 23. The 2020 games are like no other in recent history, however they still represent the absolute pinnacle of human endeavour and Sky’s coverage will ensure New Zealand fans never miss a moment.

Sky offers an incomparable line up across every possible code – and that’s the way we like it.
