JOSSI WELLS JOINS SKY SPORT OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES PYEONGCHANG 2018 COVERAGE

SKY Sport is excited to announce that New Zealand Winter Olympian Jossi Wells has joined the SKY Sport commentary team as part of its continued coverage of the freestyle skiing at the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018.

Jossi, a freestyle skier, represented New Zealand at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia where he placed fourth in halfpipe and 11th in slopestyle.

Regarded by many as one of New Zealand's most successful winter athletes, he has won a host of X Games medals and is highly regarded internationally.

The Wanaka local had gained qualification for the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018, but sadly had to later withdraw due to injury. The Wells family is however very well represented with three brothers in competition: Jackson, Beau-James and Byron Wells.

Jossi Wells says: “It’s a shame that I can’t be out there competing with my brothers, but this is an exciting opportunity to join the SKY Sport team, and I’m really looking forward to the challenge!”

SKY Director of Sport, Richard Last says: “We’re extremely happy to have secured Jossi for the remainder of the Olympic Winter Games alongside Rikki and Scotty. He’ll be able to offer some great insight, and we know he’s going to do an excellent job.”

Comprehensive LIVE coverage of the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 will feature on seven SKY Sport channels, including six designated pop-up channels until the Closing Ceremony on February 25.
