POSITION: MEDIA OPERATOR 
DEPARTMENT: MEDIA SERVICES
LOCATION: MT WELLINGTON - AUCKLAND
 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 
An enthusiastic and passionate Sport and Entertainment fanatic to work within our Media Operations team.
If the idea of working with Television, Movies & Sport content is appealing; you are confident and able to adapt to changing technology, then this is the job for you!
Experience in a technical role, processing media files for broadcast, online or production is preferred. 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working in Media Operations, you will process media files and live content to be used by our Production and Programming teams. The successful candidate will be trained on our systems and processes and be expected to operate both in a solo capacity and within the team.

  • Manage media, ingest and processing tasks.
  • Metadata, Server and System management.
  • Ingest incoming live satellite and fibre delivered content feeds. 
  • Quality assessment to meet international standards.
  • Prepare and segment content for our linear and online platforms.
  • Operate file based and video tape production systems.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • NCEA Level 2 or equivalent
  • Media based qualification or University Degree is desired.
  • Computer literate and confident with technology
  • Previous experience in a media processing environment.
  • Ability to think clearly and remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Fanatical about Sport and Entertainment programming.
  • Excellent written and oral communicator.
  • Availability to work within a 24/7 shift pattern.
