It’s been heartening to see Kiwis creating special initiatives to help New Zealand through the Covid-19 pandemic.

To help raise the profile of some of these initiatives, over the coming weeks Sky is offering $1 million worth of TV advertising airtime to charities and community organisations aligned with Covid-19 support efforts in New Zealand.

Apply online and a dedicated team at Sky will choose up to 5 initiatives to support at a time, with each ad campaign lasting two-weeks. Up to 10 initiatives will be supported in total.

Sky has already donated airtime in support of KidsCan NZ’s ‘Give $19 for Covid-19’ campaign, which is raising funds so that families won’t go hungry during Covid-19. KidsCan has smashed its $500,000 fundraising target which is funding over 3,000 emergency food parcels sent to our most vulnerable, isolated families as well as helping replace revenue from the cancellation of many fundraising events.

Martin Stewart, Sky’s Chief Executive says, “It’s a privilege to support KidsCan and we’re looking forward to partnering with a range of other New Zealand organisations that are helping support New Zealand through Covid-19. Whether you’re after awareness, funds or you just want to share your story with the rest of New Zealand, please apply and let us help you.”

Applications for Sky Community Advertising close 5pm Monday 27 April. For more information or to apply, visit www.sky.co.nz/communityadvertising.
