SKY SPORT’S SUMMER OF TENNIS JUST GOT EVEN HOTTER – SKY SECURES THE ATP CUP

Even before the ASB Classic kicks off in Auckland (on court and on air), with one of the strongest fields ever, Kiwis can start getting their tennis fix on Sky Sport with the new ATP Cup.  Sky Sport has secured the rights for this exciting new competition from Jan 2020 through to Jan 2022 inclusive.

The ATP Cup is a new 24-country team event developed by the ATP Tour and Tennis Australia and is destined to launch the 2020 ATP season in style ahead of the Australian Open – the grand slam of Asia/Pacific.

There’s a stunning line-up for this breakthrough competition which includes a number of top 30 men’s tennis players like Nadal and Djokovic.  Fans will see these star athletes battling on behalf of their respective countries to own the prestige of lifting the first trophy in this inaugural tournament played across Perth, Brisbane and Sydney.

John Isner, a hard-hitting favourite in Auckland, will be playing for the USA and will no doubt see the ATP Cup as a fantastic way to start his season before he heads east to New Zealand.

Sky’s coverage for the ATP Cup will kick off 3 January 2020.
