Sky Sport’s crew usually have their kit, hearts and minds set on New Zealand’s local sporting tests, matches, races and everything in between.

But the camera has been turned the other way in The Sport of Television, a half-hour documentary that sheds light on a part of sport viewers rarely get to see – behind the scenes and into the teams of Sky Sport’s operations.

The Sport of Television follows a busy day in the life of Sky’s dedicated crew who work around the clock to produce and deliver sport to screens; including camera operators, producers, directors, engineers, technicians, presenters, commentators, satellite operators, ground crew and broadcast crew. The Sport of Television is told through their eyes, with viewers getting a front row seat to areas usually off limits to even the biggest sports fans.

The Sport of Television premieres on Prime on Saturday 22 June at 8pm.
