SKY SPORT SECURES SIGNIFICANT MOTORSPORT DEALS

SKY has today announced that it has scored exclusive multi-year broadcast rights for INDYCAR.  

Originally available to SKY Sport subscribers through its ESPN deal, SKY Sport will now be the exclusive New Zealand destination to watch Scott Dixon race in INDYCAR. 

The good news doesn’t just extend to four wheels with SKY Sport also securing an exclusive multi-year extension of the FIM Superbike World Championship to go along with its extension of MotoGP. 

SKY Director of Sport, Richard Last says: “it’s with great pleasure to announce that we have secured these iconic motorsport deals for our SKY Sport fans. Being able to reliably deliver 52 weeks of great sports content is at the heart of everything we do. Both INDYCAR and the FIM Superbike World Championship resonate well with our sports fans and we are thrilled to have them exclusively on SKY Sport.”

The 2019 INDYCAR season features 17 races, including the coveted INDY 500 in late May. The season gets underway from 9.00am (NZT) March 11th with the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, LIVE on SKY Sport. 

The 2019 FIM Superbike World Championship will feature 13 rounds, and will begin with the Yamaha Finance Australian Round from 22-24 February LIVE on SKY Sport.
