About the role…
As an NOC Engineer at Sky, you’ll provide proactive operational control for Sky’s Service Operations. You’ll provide Level 1 and 2 technical support/resolution for all of Sky’s Technology systems, have a hand in initiating production changes, monitor (alarms and surveillance), manage incidents end-to-end and have the opportunity to be a subject matter expert within the team. You’ll be part of a team that contributes to a 24/7 roster to keep systems running and content flowing.

You’ll be the face and voice of technology, need to be an expert problem solver who enjoys working collaboratively and is comfortable seeking and providing feedback to continuously improve the way we deliver to our internal and external customers. 

The key areas of focus will include:
•    Identifying, registering and categorising incoming incidents
•    Gathering information to enable incident resolution
•    Monitoring service delivery performance to ensure that service level agreements are not breached
•    Contributing to resolving application, broadcast, broadband, network and infrastructure maintenance, installation and problem resolution (L1 and L2 support)
•    Escalating incidents and problems for resolution as necessary
Production operation of BAU systems as required

What Skills and Experience you’ll need…
•    Computer Science or similar degree or an equivalent body of knowledge/experience
•    EST A Certification preferred
•    ITIL Foundation preferred 
•    Previous 24/7/365 Operational Team experience in Network Operations Centres (NOC’s) or similar in a large enterprise organisation
•    Prior work experience in customer service and incident management
•    Technical experience in IT, Broadcast and Online
•    Strong knowledge of ITSM, Incident Management and IT Infrastructure
•    Experience with server operating systems, including Windows Server and Unix/Linux
•    Knowledge of the broadcast delivery chain from both an application and infrastructure level
•    Knowledge and experience with Application support
•    Experience with MS documentation tools
•    Experience with Perl, Bash and PowerShell scripting languages
