About the role…

Your role as Project Director is to provide project management leadership for priority customer and commercial initiatives. Reporting to the business owner you will also be actively engaged with the executive leadership team to ensure projects are executed in line with strategic goals. 

 

To be successful in the role; your project management skillset will be supported with experience delivering strategic transformational projects. Previously leading projects involving multiple teams and diverse set of stakeholders allows you to successfully build organisational alignment.  You will be a leader that brings objectivity with an inquisitive mindset to ensure optimal customer and business outcomes, making teams successful in achieving their goals.

 

The programme of work you will lead spans a broad range of initiatives driving transformational change necessary for Sky’s future success. This includes the implementation of both customer and operational projects.  The customer is at the centre of everything we do, and this role will work to ensure our technology supports our customer objectives whilst also ensuring a platform for commercial success. ​​​​

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

 

  • Providing leadership across key strategic projects to deliver on critical business performance outcomes

  • Defining programme scope and objectives, involving relevant stakeholders and ensuring feasibility; technically, commercially and in line with go-to-market timelines

  • Determining necessary internal and third parties resource requirements with clear roles and responsibilities

  • Developing & maintaining a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress against budget, milestones and deliverables

  • Ensuring clear visibility and accountability for progress is in place – ensuring business ownership for outcomes is established and maintained

  • Identify key risks and working with stakeholders to provide mitigation plans

  • Managing change requests using appropriate verification techniques

 

 

For this role you will need: 

 

  • Strong project management experience, working on large complex projects, across multiple business units

  • Experience working with senior leadership and highly collaborative style across a diverse range of stakeholders including external vendors.

  • Excellent core project management skills, including risk and dependency management.

  • Proven experience working within Agile delivery teams with a ‘servant leadership’ approach.

  • A natural planner with the ability to juggle multiple moving parts.
