2019 Six Nations
SIX NATIONS COMING TO SKY SPORT

SKY Sport is excited to announce that it will be broadcasting every test from both the men’s and women’s 2019 Six Nations tournaments LIVE from February 2nd.

Catch the Northern Hemisphere’s finest international teams battle it out over five thrilling rounds.

The women’s Six Nations kicks off Saturday 2nd February from 5.50am with Ireland taking on England, while the men’s Six Nations opens with France hosting Wales that same morning from 8.50am on SKY Sport 1.

With three of the top four IRB ranked international sides playing in the men’s Six Nations, and two of the top three playing in the women’s Six Nations, there will be plenty of intense test rugby to look forward to for SKY Sport rugby fans.

In anticipation of the 2019 Six Nations tournament kicking off on SKY Sport, The 1014 Rugby will be doing a Six Nations special where they’ll be analysing each team’s strengths and weaknesses, what they are doing and why they are doing it.

Co-hosted by Gareth Dinneen and Steven Prescott, the Six Nations preview special will screen Tuesday 29th of January on SKY Sport 3. This episode will replay on SKY Sport in anticipation of the tournament kicking off on Saturday 2nd of February.

For the duration of the Six Nations, SKY Sport will screen The 1014 Rugby at 8.00pm on Tuesday evenings where they will analyse the matches from the previous week and look ahead to the upcoming tests. The 1014 Rugby is based on World Rugby’s values: integrity, passion, solidarity, discipline, and respect.

Steven Prescott, co-host of The 1014 Rugby shares his thoughts on the 2019 Six Nations men’s tournament: “From 2011 all tournaments have been won by either England, Ireland or Wales and those teams are the safe bet. But it's such a close tournament that anything can happen and momentum is huge. Wales are coming in under the radar and are currently on their longest winning streak under Warren Gatland. In fact, it's the longest current winning streak of any Tier One country.”

“It's possible that at the end of the Six Nations, Ireland will be the number one ranked team in the World.

"Steve Hansen has never been head coach of the All Blacks when they've been anything but the number one ranked team, so it will be interesting to see if Ireland can achieve this. To do so they are likely going to have to go back-to-back with Grand Slams, which is something they've never achieved. Bring on the Six Nations LIVE on SKY Sport!”
