Sky Sport will remain the home of the ASB Classic, with confirmation that Sky has extended its partnership to broadcast New Zealand’s premier tennis tournament.

Under the renewed partnership, Kiwi tennis fans will be able to watch some of the world’s best players in action in our own backyard in 2025, live on Sky Sport and through streaming platforms Sky Sport Now and Sky Go.

Sky Open will also provide free-to-air coverage of each day’s opening match, including the final of the ATP men’s and WTA women’s events.

Kirstie Stanway and Laura McGoldrick will host Sky Sport’s upcoming coverage of the evening sessions, semi-finals, and finals of the women’s and men’s draws, respectively.

Sky Sport broadcasters Glen Larmer, Rikki Swannell, Jeff McTainsh, and Jenny Woods will share commentary duties throughout the ASB Classic with former New Zealand tennis representatives Jade Lewis, Sebastian Lavie, and Lee Radovanovich.

The 2025 edition of the tournament will see a host of global stars grace the Manuka Doctor Arena in Auckland throughout late next month and early January.

From the women’s side of the draw, this includes New Zealand’s 2024 Wimbledon quarterfinalist Lulu Sun, four-time Grand Slam winner Naomi Osaka, former US Open champions Emma Raducanu and Bianca Andreescu, and recent WTA Finals doubles winners, Kiwi star Erin Routliffe and Gaby Dabrowski.

As for the men, the likes of New Zealand-raised British star Cameron Norrie, highly touted American prospect Ben Shelton, and reigning ASB Classic champion Alejandro Tabilo are all set to return to Auckland after featuring in recent years.

They will be joined by newly confirmed youngsters Jakub Mensik, Flavio Cobolli, and Giovanni Mpetshi-Perricard in the 2025 men’s tournament.

With such star power on show, Sky Chief Content & Commercial Officer, Jonny Errington, is excited that the ASB Classic will continue to be available on Sky Sport and free-to-air on Sky Open, as well as on Sky Sport Now and Sky Go.

“The ASB Classic has a special place in the New Zealand sporting calendar. It is an event that we know our customers value highly, so we are thrilled that Sky’s coverage of the tournament will continue for years to come.”

ASB Classic Tournament Director, Nicolas Lamperin, added: “Sky Sport’s commitment to delivering top-tier coverage will help elevate the ASB Classic to new heights. We can’t wait to share the incredible on court action from our international superstars with our fans across New Zealand both live and on demand.”

The 2025 ASB Classic begins with the WTA tournament between 30 December and 5 January, followed by the ATP event from 6 January to 11 January.

Sky’s extensive tennis offering continues throughout the rest of the month, with the Australian Open available live on Sky Sport, Sky Sport Now, Sky Go, and free-to-air on Sky Open from 12 January to 26 January.
