Test Performance Engineer

About the role…

As a Test Performance Engineer for Sky you’ll ensure, through independent assessment and review, that exceptional working practices, quality control activities, organisational processes and quality standards are in place and followed across Sky.

You’ll be an expert at quality assurance providing confidence to Sky leaders, our customers and external bodies, such as regulators, that quality requirements will be fulfilled.

You’ll need to be an expert problem solver who enjoys working collaboratively and is comfortable seeking and providing feedback to continuously improve the way we deliver to our internal and external customers.

The key areas of focus will include:

  • Coordinating, planning, managing and executing high integrity acceptance testing

  • Managing all test processes, including test plans, resources, costs, timescales, test deliverables and traceability

  • Facilitating both moderated and unmoderated usability tests

  • Conducting formal audits or reviews to ensure compliance with Sky’s quality standards for activities, processes, data, products or services

  • Providing advice and guidance in the use of organisational standards

  • Planning, organising and conducting audits and determining whether appropriate quality control has been applied to projects, development or support activities

  • Determining the risks associated with non-compliance and proposing corrective actions

  • Performing quality assurance reviews of suppliers and throughout the supply chain

  • Collating, collecting and examining records, analysing the evidence and drafting all, or part of, formal compliance reports

  • Planning and performing all types of user experience evaluation to check and confirm that usability and accessibility requirements have been met

  • Selecting appropriate use of formative or summative evaluations

  • Evaluating prototypes or designs of systems, products or services against the agreed usability and accessibility specifications

  • Responsible for E2E testing of Sky applications and products.

What Your Back Story Brings…

  • Computer Science or Engineering degree or an equivalent body of knowledge

  • At least 3 years in a similar role

  • Experience with Unix/Linux and windows environments

  • Experience with SQL or similar technologies

  • Experience with Automation tools (Selenium, Appium)

  • Experience with Performance tools like JMeter etc.

  • Experience with AWS technologies

  • Experience with E2E testing of complex systems with multiple Integration points

  • Experience in a large company
