Sophie Moloney
Chief Executive Officer
 

Sophie is an accomplished New Zealand media leader who brings deep international experience to the Chief Executive role. She joined Sky UK in 2003 and has held senior commercial, legal and strategic roles at Sky New Zealand, Sky UK, Sky News Arabia, Abu Dhabi Media and OSN. 

Sophie returned to New Zealand with her family in 2018 and, prior to being appointed Chief Executive, was the company’s Chief Commercial Officer. Sophie is proud to lead Team Sky. She is deeply passionate about developing young and women leaders, and ensuring Sky continues to bring amazing entertainment and sports content into people’s lives.

Tom Gordon 
Chief Financial Officer
 

Tom joined Sky as Chief Financial Officer in December 2021. Tom has extensive strategic and operational finance experience, as well as strong knowledge of the telecommunications and media sectors, and was previously Head of Finance and Interim CFO for Vodafone New Zealand.

Jonny Errington
Chief Content & Commercial Officer 

Jonny joined Sky in 2012 and has held a range of senior legal and commercial roles in that time, most recently as Head of Commercial and Head of Sports Partnerships. A keen sports fan, he has played a key role in negotiating Sky’s sports content deals and leading Sky’s commercial activities. Jonny brings over 20 years of media and legal experience to his role. Prior to joining Sky, Jonny worked at Spark, and at Warner Bros and as a lawyer in both in-house and private practice roles in the UK.

Daniel Kelly 
Chief Customer Officer
 

Since starting at Sky in October 2020 as Head of Broadband Dan was instrumental in leading the launch of Sky Broadband. More recently he has provided broader leadership to the Sky Box teams and helping to lay out new ways of working with the Radically team. Before working at Sky, Dan was General Manager Business Products & Marketing at Vocus Group AU and he brings over 12 years’ experience leading both Consumer and Business teams. Working for Telstra and Optus, Australia’s premier telco’s he has had a number of career highlights including the launch of Telstra’s first IPTV product, managing the largest consumer internet business in Australia and delivering Australia’s largest WiFi network.

Chris Major
Chief Corporate Affairs Officer
 

Chris joined Sky as Director of Government Relations in 2013 after working in and around Parliament for most of her career, and was appointed Director of External Affairs in October 2017.  Prior to Sky Chris was communications director at The Treasury and a senior ministerial advisor for Rugby World Cup 2011.  Chris worked for the Minister of Sport for some years, and spent five years at law firm Chapman Tripp.

Prabhu Singh
Director of Technology
 

Prabhu was appointed Director of Technology in August 2019. He was previously Head of Service in the Broadcast and Infrastructure team and has been at Sky since December 2010. Prabhu has broad technology, telco, broadcast and online experience and prior to joining Sky, he held management roles at Vodafone, TOLL and TelstraClear. Prabhu and his team are responsible for all aspects of Sky’s technology, including our strong commitment to continuing to deliver excellent services to Sky OTT Digital, Sky Direct-to-Home and Broadband customers.

Antony Welton
Chief Operations & People Officer 

Antony joined Sky in February 2022 as Chief Operations & People Officer, with a key focus on continuing to transform Sky’s ways of working and empowering our people to do their best work. He is a highly skilled executive with extensive experience in operations, people and strategy, including a number of years with Vodafone New Zealand. Prior to joining Sky, Antony was Chief Employee Experience Officer at Whakarongorau Aotearoa, a call centre business providing Telehealth services.

Jason Foden 
Chief Digital and Innovation Officer

Jason arrived at Sky in September 2021 after four and a half years as CEO at Freeview, New Zealand’s free-to-air platform for radio and tv, where he led the transformation from a standards body to a customer-focused business delivering an aggregated experience across multiple devices. A fan of most sports and crime drama, Jason’s a long-time customer of Neon and Sky Sport Now. Jason is an experienced leader of both people and innovative product releases and large-scale infrastructure projects, his experience spans Product and Technology in the Broadcasting, Telecommunications and Media sectors in New Zealand and the UK.
