Chris Major
Director of External Affairs

Chris joined Sky as Director of Government Relations in 2013 after working in and around Parliament for most of her career, and was appointed Director of External Affairs in October 2017.  Prior to Sky Chris was communications director at The Treasury and a senior ministerial advisor for Rugby World Cup 2011.  Chris worked for the Minister of Sport for some years, and spent five years at law firm Chapman Tripp.

When it comes to what Chris loves to watch on Sky, it’s no surprise that rugby is right up there (she’s been to the Rugby World Cup a few times).  She’s also fond of basketball, netball and is a keen advocate for women’s sport.  When it comes to entertainment – it’s the edgy stuff on SoHo which really spins her wheels – like Billions, Succession, Westworld and True Detective.  And you’ll see her tuned into Parliament TV and international news channels more than she’s willing to admit to.
