Sky in the Community

We’ve committed $1 million over five years to help repair Christchurch. We’ve chosen to concentrate our efforts on sports and recreational facilities, to support the health and well-being of local communities and in particular, their young people.
Our first $200,000 donation in 2013 was for the repair of the fields at Garrick Park. The second donation in 2014 was gifted to West Spreydon School to repair the community’s hugely popular swimming pool. In 2015, our $200,000 was gifted to Denton Oval to enable the lighting, changing rooms and bathrooms to be upgraded and the all the track rails to be replaced. Last year our $200,000 provided artificial turfs to 11 Christchurch primary schools who lost or incurred significant damage to their playing fields in the earthquakes. We can’t wait to see what a difference we can make in 2017.

Sponsoring the very Special Children’s Christmas Parties means so much more to us than providing cash. Hundreds of our SKY crew from all across New Zealand volunteer each year to create an incredible day for children in need. It’s a day filled with bouncy castles, life size television characters and games along with prizes!
