This month, Rialto Channel showcases British film, beginning with England is Mine (6th), a portrait of pre-Smiths rocker Morrissey in his early days in 1970s Manchester. The Dark Mile (13th) is a tense psychological thriller set in the Scottish Highlands. Richard Brake plays a tattoo artist with a reverence for his craft in chiller Perfect Skin (20th). Finally, I Am Not a Witch (27th) from British director Rungano Nyoni tells the story of a Zambian girl accused of witchcraft. The film was a critic’s favourite worldwide screening at Cannes Film Festival and winning a BAFTA for Outstanding Debut.
