From Sky’s CEO

Sport is well and truly back up and we’re here for every moment.

The joy and the heartache of LIVE sport is back, and Sky Sport is here for every moment that matters.

From Rugby, Rugby League, Netball and Golf to MMA, Motorsport, Football, Tennis, Badminton and more; LIVE sport is back in play.  Every code has worked hard to get on the field, court, track, fairway or on the water safely, and here at Sky we’re behind them 100%.

We hope we’ve kept you entertained over the last few weeks with brilliant sport from our archives and new shows like The Pod, Isolation Nation, NetFit and WarriorsTV.

Favourites like Breakdown and The Crowd Goes Wild have kept us all up to date with what’s happening in the sport arena – and they are just about to get even busier with more LIVE sport.

Investec Super Rugby Aotearoa and the ANZ Premiership are going to be amazing, and we’re already underway with the NRL.  The mighty Vodafone Warriors have sacrificed more than most to play. Like them, we are all in!

Some competitions are brand new and exclusive to Sky Sport and Sky Sport Next, such as New Zealand Premier League Tennis and NZ Badminton.  Kiwi tennis and badminton stars can’t be on the international circuit right now, so they are coming together to play in fantastic new tournaments here in Aotearoa.

Already up and running are MMA, Wrestling and Motorsport.  NASCAR is already back roaring around the track on Sky Sport 5, and Golf is back in action on Sky Sport 6 with action from the USA and South Korea - with more to come.

We’ll keep you posted on what else is new and live on sky.co.nz. In the meantime, thank you for supporting Sky and get ready to cheer on the Vodafone Warriors, your favourite Super Rugby team, or your beloved ANZ Premiership netball team and celebrate sport getting back up.

Best wishes

Martin Stewart, CEO Sky
