I’ve been looking forward to turning the calendar to June – with so many huge sporting events going on, it’s hard to know which one to be most excited about!

Our office has been abuzz with talk of the upcoming DHL New Zealand Lions Series 2017. The lads are sure to put up a fierce front, and our boys are ready to meet them. Also upon us is the 35th America’s Cup – Emirates Team New Zealand will be giving it their all to bring the cup back home.

There’s plenty to get excited about on the entertainment front too. Rialto Channel will be unlocked for a week from the 24th, so make sure you take a peek. We’re lining up a few regal specials for Queen’s Birthday weekend, including The Royal Good Guys and Cameraman to the Queen. And don’t miss new shows I’m Dying Up Here, on SoHo, and Young Hyacinth, the prequel to the 90s classic, Keeping Up Appearances, on BBC UKTV.

Make sure you tune in to Discovery Channel for Gold Rush: Parker’s Trail, showcasing a moving personal journey through the spectacular, but unforgiving, frozen landscape of North America.

Over on SKY Movies, we’ve got premieres to suit all tastes – Jason Bourne, Suicide Squad and Bridget Jones’s Baby, to name a few. And on SKY Box Office, we have the latest Wolverine instalment, Logan, fresh from the cinema – see page 166 for our interview with Hugh Jackman, who plays the iconic character.

Kid-favourite Adventure Time is back with a brand new mini-series over on Cartoon Network, and the big-screen adaptation of The BFG premieres on SKY Movies Disney.

Be sure to head to page 162 and try the recipes we’ve picked from Jess Daniell’s fabulous new cookbook, My Underground Deli. The banana bread is my new fave – super easy and just divine when straight out of the oven.

From me and all the folks at SKY, have a happy June, enjoy the long weekend, go the All Blacks and Emirates Team New Zealand, and see you all next month!
